Volte is a voice recorder. Your recordings, transcripts, and summaries live on your phone. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Paperfoot AI operates no servers for Volte and never sees your data.
Audio files, transcripts, summaries, speaker names, and your settings are stored only on your device. A deleted recording moves to Recently Deleted, where it can be restored for 30 days; after that it is removed from the device for good. If you add an ElevenLabs API key, it is stored in the iOS Keychain.
By default, Volte transcribes on the device using Apple's speech recognition, and no audio goes anywhere.
If you add your own ElevenLabs API key and choose the ElevenLabs engine, the audio of a recording is sent over an encrypted connection to ElevenLabs to produce a speaker-labelled transcript. That processing runs under your own ElevenLabs account and is governed by the ElevenLabs privacy policy. Apart from that pass and the optional location lookup below, Volte makes no network requests. Titles, summaries, and action items are generated on the device itself.
Location tags are off until you turn them on in Settings. When on, Volte saves an approximate, city-level place name with each recording so you can search by place. The place name is looked up through Apple's geocoding service and stored only on your device. The microphone is used only while you are recording.
No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. No advertising identifiers. No account creation. Paperfoot AI does not sell, share, or retain your data.
Everything Volte makes is on your device and under your control: export or delete any recording at any time. Because we hold nothing about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, hand over, or erase.
This policy describes the current version of Volte. If a future version changes what leaves the device, the policy and the date below will change with it.
Volte is made by Paperfoot AI Pte. Ltd., Singapore. Questions: support@volte.dev, or the contact page.
