The audio is on disk from the first second and exportable the moment you stop; the transcript arrives in formats made as much for AI models and agents as for people. One list, one accent colour, nothing to set up — the same recorder on iPhone and on the Mac.
Audio is written to disk continuously; a crash, a phone call, or a dead battery leaves the recording on disk. A live on-device draft appears while you speak.
Each voice gets its own label, with word-level timestamps. Rename a speaker once and the name carries through the transcript and every export.
